Rescue Task Force – luka do wypełnienia w polskich warunkach – część I

Rescue Task Force teams are capable of bridging the time gap. Special police and military units employ operator-medics as a part of their attack groups. However in incidents with large amount of casualties, providing medical assistance is not their priority. It may be necessary to use civilian medical teams to administer aid to victims in the hot zone (RTF concept recognizes 3 zones: hot zone; warm zone – where direct threat has been isolated or minimized; and cold zone – initially secured by special unit operators). It is yet to be answered if Emergency Medical System teams in Poland are prepared for such cooperation and responding a call such as „Category: other – multiple casualties, gunshot wounds, police/army on scene”.

After reaching the scene medics may be asked to enter area secured by counter-terrorist unit operators in order to provide medical assistance for victims.
